ALS Charters Ro-Ro Vessel to Ship 3 Caterpillar Dump Trucks from Oslo to Brønnøysund

A ro-ro vessel was chartered by the ALS team in Bergen for a shipment from Oslo to Brønnøysund in Norway for 3 x Cat 775G machines.

On arrival in Brønnøysund, the machines were then loaded onto trucks for the last distance of 32km by road to the end client.

If transported by road it would have involved a distance via Sweden of 1150 kms.

This charter approach ensured cost-effectiveness and minimized the impact of wide loads on winter roads in Norway.

The approximate dimensions of each machine was 4.3m wide and 50t.
