Al Faris Breaking Boundries in 2022

Al Faris kick started 2022 breaking boundaries with their industry experience, local knowledge and unique engineering techniques in a challenging environment – Iraq!

While Al Faris is the industry leader owning the largest fleet of cranes and other heavy equipment in the Middle East region with a dominant presence in the UAE and KSA; Iraq is a very different as well as a challenging market.

Though they have been set up in Iraq for only a year, their branch, led by Alberto Pittaluga and a team of experienced and motivated professionals, are running at full capacity with multiple heavy transport, heavy lifting and skidding jobs in the civil, oil & gas as well as power generation industries with two ongoing projects within the petrochemical industry .

Multiple number of convoys with their prime movers and hydraulic trailers were used for the transport.

Al Faris Group takes pride in being pioneers for their industry in this challenging environment where the standards set up by international players in various other fields are very high. They operate a fully secure and sustainable permanent “Life Support Base” in Khor Al Zubair and having an active local force in the region of 50%, they are firm believers of supporting the Country’s industrial growth.

Recently Al Faris transported approx. 96 components up to 150t for a NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) Plant. Multiple number of convoys with their prime movers and hydraulic trailers were used for the transport.

Supporting the infrastructure and industrial development, we work hand in hand with the local govt. authorities and receive remarkable support from the Iraqi army during all our operations.

In another project, they transported and installed various components including KO drums and flare stacks ranging from 25t to 78t for an oil field in WQ1.

Hydraulic trailers were used for the transportation and their Liebherr mobile cranes were used for the installation. The quick mobilisation of the cranes and competent skills of their engineers and site crew enabled them to optimise the overall project schedule thus attaining utmost customer satisfaction.

While our safety, health and quality standards are well integrated in our daily work, training and all on-site jobs across all operating regions; for Iraq we provide a strong commitment to the security of our personnel, equipment and cargoes we are working with. All our projects involve Governmental Security escort vehicles and local communities support 24/7.

Al Faris delivers turnkey integrated services for all their customer needs including equipment rentals with well trained operators, technical assessments and plans, consultancy with innovative engineering techniques, route surveys and analysis as well as the entire logistics chain support.
