A large ‘Goliath’ gantry crane at Able Middlesbrough Port is scheduled to be brought down this Sunday (March 6). The operation, prior to the recycling of the structure, will involve a controlled explosion and will be carried out around lunchtime, subject to suitable weather conditions.
During the operation there will be a brief closure of Priestman road adjacent to Able Middlesbrough Port.
