6m Wide Freight Transported from Amsterdam to Finland by Van der Vlist
Van der Vlist was asked to transport a cargo of 6.3 meters long, 6 meters wide and 3 meters high piece to Finland.
Chartering a coaster for direct transport from Amsterdam to Finland would have been the easiest way to transport the piece. However, they have found a more complex but much cheaper way of transport. It required much more coordination from our logistics department, but it saved the customer a lot of costs without any impact for the client or the transit of the piece. That is what Van der Vlist call added value.
From Amsterdam the cargo was transported by barge and seagoing vessel to Finland. The cargo was taken to its final destination by road transport. At the destination, the load was placed upright in the frame using a mobile crane.
