Feldmann keeps its fleet at a high technical level at all times. As part of its replacement purchase strategy, the company has invested in five new Liebherr cranes:
- LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane,
- LTM 1100-2.1 telescopic mobile crane,
- LTM 1250-5.1,
- LTM 1450-8.1
- MK 88 mobile construction crane.
Heinrich Kistler, Cranes Department Manager at Feldmann, explains: “Most of our cranes are supplied by Liebherr. Ease of use is very important to us but we have also been won over by the Liebherr’s new technologies such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast®. This means that the cranes can be used for jobs which were previously only possible with larger machines. Moreover, we are very satisfied with the quality of Liebherr products and services.”
It is also important to Feldmann to be able to offer its customers a well structured fleet. Kistler says: “The new machines fit perfectly into our range. The LTC 1050-3.1 is a very compact crane with a low clearance height. It has good telescoping lifting capacities and the lift cabin is extremely helpful for a wide range of jobs. We love the compact dimensions of the LTM 1100-5.2 and the outstanding lifting capacity of the LTM 1250-5.1, which partly extends into the range of a 300-tonne machine. The LTM 1450-8.1 with its long telescopic boom can be set up quickly on site and is very manoeuvrable for an 8-axle crane. The MK 88 is a user-friendly mobile construction crane with very good lifting capacities.”
Andreas Gnädinger, the owner of the Feldmann Group, started to establish a mobile crane and a lorry fleet of his own for his construction company in Bilten in 1990. Feldmann Pneukran und Transport AG now has a fleet of around 40 lorries and cranes, including 10 Liebherr mobile cranes and 4 Liebherr mobile construction cranes. The company has a 50-strong workforce tackling everything relating to hoisting and transporting. The company also rents out lifting platforms.
