4th Generation Scheuerle Wind Turbine Rotor Blade Adapter Debut Transport with Steil Krantechnik – Video

The first use of the new 4th generation rotor blade adapter was a success. The company Steil Krantechnik carried out the transport using the new adapter for a customer.

The 68m long, rotor blade, weighing 22t, was maneuvered on a 17km long route through a small village and narrow roads on the Swabian Ostalb to the wind turbine site.

The transport system consisted of an InterCombi and the new G4 rotor blade adapter. It enables transports of rotor blades with a length of up to 100m and longer and a weight up to 45,000kg.

For the future the rotor blade adapter offers a solution for a flexible and efficient transport.
