420t Gottwald HMK300E Crane Transported by Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten for CLdN
Last week in the Port of Rotterdam’s Brittanniëhaven, the Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten team of 4 riggers and the project manager was tasked with the transport of CLdN’s 350t Gottwald HMK300E crane across the harbour from the north to the south side.
The quay heights of the 2 sides of the harbour provided an extra challenge with a difference of 1.85m between the 2 quays.
Working with the tidal changes the crane was loaded on to their largest pontoon, Lastdrager 35, manoeuvred by their pushboat, Broedertrouw 2, at low water on Thursday afternoon and discharged at high water on Friday morning.
Operations Manager, Sander de Munk, thanks the parties involved for the good technical preparation and fine cooperation on this successful project.
