400t Weeslift 1 Added to Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten BV Fleet
Royal Van der Wees Transporten BV is strengthening its maritime services with the purchase of a floating crane, the Weeslift 1. This strategic choice is the result of close coordination with customers and a strong focus on changing market conditions. The expansion enables Van der Wees to better respond to the increasing demand for logistics solutions in, among other things, bridge renovations and the energy transition.
With a lifting capacity of 400t, the Weeslift 1 increases the possibilities for complex lifting and transport projects. This fits in with Van der Wees’ long-term vision to proactively support its customers with efficient and flexible solutions. Due to the increasing demand for heavy lifting capacity, including for infrastructure projects and the growth of sustainable energy, the Weeslift 1 offers additional strength and certainty for its clients.

The Weeslift 1 will first undergo a technical inspection and will be ready for use at home and abroad before the summer.
Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten BV has more than a century of experience in exceptional transport by road and water and a logistics service at its multipurpose terminal in Dordrecht. The addition of the Weeslift 1 is a logical step that fits well into the entire chain that Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten BV has to offer.
This chain often starts with collecting cargo by road, temporarily storing it on its logistics sites and then sailing it to the location by pontoon and ship.
