4000t Load Out from Wasco’s New Jetty on Batam Island, Indonesia

Wasco Berhad (Wasco) through its Engineering & Fabrication Division, has announced a significant milestone with the successful completion of the heaviest module loadout from its newly constructed jetty at its Indonesia-based fabrication yard.

Located strategically on Batam Island, Indonesia, Wasco’s newly constructed jetty is engineered to facilitate large-scale load-outs directly onto oceangoing vessels. With a Jetty Quay Length of 300m and an impressive capacity of 10,000t, the facility provides capabilities for module loadout and transportation, ensuring seamless operations and cost-efficient logistics management.

The first module to be loaded out from the new jetty was a 4,000t FPSO E-House module. This significant achievement highlights the yard’s capability to safely and efficiently transport substantial cargo from the fabrication yard onto awaiting vessels, further solidifying Wasco Batam Yard’s position as a leader in the offshore fabrication industry.

Designed to enhance operational efficiency, the new jetty at Wasco Batam Yard enables the fabrication yard to undertake larger and more complex projects. With its capability to accommodate oceangoing vessels with a 10m draft and handle heavy module loadouts up to 10,000t, the jetty significantly expands the yard’s capabilities and strengthens its position in the global market.
