336t Transformer delivered in Maasbracht by Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten with M.J. van Riel

Yesterday a transformer was delivered in a ro-ro operation carried out by the MJ van Riel BV team in collaboration with the Koninklijke Van der Wees Transporten team.

The Van der Wees barge, Lastdrager 28, delivered the 336t transformer over the Maas river to the RWE-Claus power plant in Maasbracht.

From there, on a route specially prepared with steel plates and timber mats, SPMTs from MJ van Riel BV transported the transformer from the river side to its destination at the power plant.

The project was successfully completed with excellent cooperation between the teams from the 2 companies.
