1600t Clyde Bridge Leaves Hollandia Infra in Krimpen aan den IJssel on Saren’s Barge Caroline – Video

Last week Hollandia Infra completed an impressive load-out for the Clyde Crossing project. Due to its length and impressive weight of 1,600t, this lifting operation required the use of no fewer than 3 floating sheerlegs. With the help of SPMTs, the bridge was brought into a load-out position along the quay, where the 3 Matador floating shearlegs then took over the weight and maneuvered the bridge on to the pontoon with extreme precision. The entire operation went very smoothly.

Now that the final work on the pontoon has been completed, the bridge is ready for its journey to Scotland.

Hollandia Infra, together with Iemants/Smulders, is working on behalf of Graham UK on the new river crossing near Glasgow across the River Clyde. This bank connection consists of an architectural double swing bridge with a total span of 180 meters. Hollandia Infra is responsible for the southern bridge section.
