16 Axel Lines of Sarens’ SPMT K24 from TII SCHEUERLE Transport 360t Submarine through Gdynia

Towards the end of last year, the Polish submarine, ORP Sokół, made its way through the streets of Gdynia, transported by Sarens on 16 axle lines SPMT K24 belonging to TII’s customer Sarens.

Formerly HNoMS Stord the submarine was built in 1966 in Germany for the Norwegian Navy.

The 360-ton submarine was transferred to the Polish Navy in 2002 and retired in 2018.

After a meticulous restoration by the Gdynia Naval Shipyard the OTP Sokół has been transferred to its new base where it will be an open air exhibit at the Muzeum Marynarki Wojennej (Naval Museum in Gdynia)
