Two people have died and one has been left seriously injured after a work platform on a telehandler’s became detached whilst in operation.
The incident took place at a hotel in Zaltbommel, Central Holland, where a vacant hotel is being converted into a new Van der Valk hotel. Omroep Gelderland, a local media outlet, suggested that the accident happened whilst erecting a banner on the building, killing two men, one 51, and the other 53, who were working in the platform which fell about 10 metres to the ground.

All three people were employed by Wines Bouwgroep of Someren.
