April 7 - The ESTA Awards of Excellence 2017 had another successful year honouring and recognising members at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Approximately 350 industry professionals attended the awards which was organised by ESTA and the International Cranes and Specialized Transport magazine, part of the KHL Group.

Excellence awarded at ESTAMammoet Europe won the first award of the evening - combined techniques - for the installation of the new safe confinement at Chernobyl in Ukraine. Mammoet's celebration continued when it was presented the second award of the evening, the transport award for trailer and load under 120 tonnes, for its transportation of a turbine blade in Denmark. The award for telescopic lifting capacity above 120 tonnes was awarded to Nordic Crane Vest, for its delivery of a 500-tonne mobile crane to an offshore drilling platform in Valhall oil and gas field, Norway.

Fagioli was honoured with the safety award for its self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT) safety e-learning project, and with the innovation and end user award for the salvage of a 90-tonne wreck. The award for telescopic lifting capacity under 120 tonnes was awarded to Wagenborg Nedlift, while the transport award for trailer and load over 120 tonnes was warded to MTD.

The lattice boom crane award was presented to Sarens BV, while Enerpac was awarded innovation manufacturer for its ETL 600 travel gantry.

Excellence awarded at ESTAThe final award of the evening, the SPMT job of the year, was awarded to Sarens BV for the transportation of the world's largest railway bridge on SPMT in Muiderberg, the Netherlands. Check it out HERE
